HEARING FROM REAL WOMEN: ARIANA’S STORY

Through Share Love Fund's Children’s Yoga Teacher Training (RCYT) course, obtaining your yoga license is simple and accessible in both its design and content, one which allows those who are interested in obtaining a yoga license to teach children yoga in merely 95 hours of training. The course can be purchased on Share Love Fund's site and is both educational, clear, and accessible, one which in my endeavor to obtain my license I found not only stimulating but, despite my innate lack of flexibility, very fun and engaging.

Let's take a look at not only the course's content but its design, in the context of the organization, thoroughness, and practicality of this course.

Organization: The RCYT Course initially struck me by its organization. The course is broken down into 6 sections, each with a particular number of hours to be dedicated to the corresponding sections. The six sections are: General Background in the Children's Yoga (12 Hours), Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers (12 Hours), Teaching Methodology (15 Hours), Techniques, Training and Practice (20 Hours), Anatomy and Physiology (10 Hours), Practicum (18 Hours), and Elective Hours (8 Hours). This comprises the total 95 hours of the course and makes your progress easy to navigate.

This progress can also be tracked through the percentage of the course completed, which will indicate how much of your training you have completed. This made it very easy for me to pace myself and understand where I needed improvement, and how much time I should dedicate to obtaining my license. With the simple click of a button, I can click "complete and continue" and be in full control of the course. This allowed me to review concepts I did not fully understand and maintain my own pace. These six sections are also divided into subsections, which I will expand on when discussing thoroughness.

Thoroughness: This is another pillar of the course. Through RCYT, I discovered concepts that I had never considered even exploring before, much less concepts I would associate with yoga. While the course explores technique and demonstrates this through Share Love Fund CEO's carefully crafted videos, images, and descriptions, it also explores spirituality, breath work, anatomy, as well as teaching methodology concerning children of different age groups among a multitude of other concepts. This attention to detail makes me feel prepared and has allowed me to understand that yoga is more than a relaxing exercise, but can also be educational, engaging, and beneficial to mental, spiritual, and physical health. This is an exercise with a rich history behind it, one which serves to improve strength, balance, and flexibility and unite the body, mind, and spirit.

Practicality: The course's practicality lies in its accessibility. Through a simple click online, you can get your license from the comfort of your home, and complete it at your own pace. The RCYT course's practicality lies in this accessibility, one which ensures that anybody with an internet connection can attain this license. This facilitates jobs for those interested in obtaining a license, particularly women and youth.
