Yoga Certification Retreats

ShareLove.Fund offers 10-day Spring Break and Summer Vacation Yoga Teacher Retreats for 14 to 24 year olds and Weekend Women’s Empowerment Retreats for adults.

About: We are a women’s empowerment 501(c)(3) charitable organization seeking to positively influence the next generation of authentic female leadership. Applicants must be female between the ages of 16-26, enrolled in college, and highly motivated to earn a yoga teaching credential. Priority consideration for scholarships will be granted to unpaid ShareLove.Fund interns and applicants who have never been on a vacation or have never seen the ocean. 100% of proceeds go towards providing at-risk youth and incarcerated women with the same vocational training.

Sample Syllabus

All course hours are mandatory to receive a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 teacher certification.

Students are required to submit a 30 minute yoga and/or meditation teaching video suitable for our on-line outreach program participants. In addition, students are required to provide alignment photos of the 50 fundamental Kripalu poses of either themselves or a model that they properly aligned.

TECHNIQUES, TRAINING, PRACTICE

  • Asana: 50 Hours

  • Pranayama: 20 Hours

  • Meditation: 5 Hours


ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

  • Anatomy: 20 Hours (may also be satisfied online)

  • Physiology: 5 Hours

  • Biomechanics: 5 Hours


YOGA HUMANITIES

  • History: 5 Hours

  • Philosophy: 20 Hours (may also be satisfied online)

  • Ethics: 5 Hours


ELECTIVE

  • Acro Yoga: 8 Hours

  • Aerial Yoga: 7 Hours (To be completed in ShareLove.Fund’s New York studio or a studio of your choice.)


PROFESSIONAL ESSENTIALS

  • Teaching Methodology: 20 Hours

  • Professional Development: 5 Hours

  • Practicum (Practice Teaching): 25 Hours
