Russell Jakubowsky, RYT 500, is a yogi, a philanthropist with an insatiable appetite for history, science, and solving the predicament of illness and aging. His valuable contribution as an editor in the book ‘Broadening Our Horizons: What can Modern Food Science Learn from Historical Nutritional Practices?’ is praiseworthy, which he accomplished at such a young age.

He is passionate about travelling and uses his multilingualism (English, French, Italian, and Hebrew) to enjoy food culture globally. He lives in Rye, NY, with his parents, two sisters, and his two Lagotto Romagnolo dogs. He attends The French American School of New York and enjoys receiving his education in French with an incredible international student body representing over 50 countries.

His hobbies include composing music, playing the harp, and camping outdoors with his Boy Scout troop. He hopes to become a criminal defense attorney upon maturity and is a dedicated ShareLove.Fund social justice volunteer by furthering its mission to provide free vocational Yoga teacher training to the incarcerated women at “Rosie’s,” the women’s ward at Rikers Island jail in New York City.
